At the just concluded Mobile World Congress 2026 (MWC 2026), HPE unveiled a series of brand-new solutions spanning network and computing domains, aiming to expedite the modernization transformation process of service providers. The innovative products launched this time integrate the technological strengths of HPE and Juniper Networks, providing a comprehensive technology stack for AI infrastructure construction from the core to the edge.
The new Juniper PTX Series Routers: Born for AI Data Center Interconnection
HPE has released the PTX12000 series modular routers and PTX10002 series fixed routers, built on Juniper Express 5 ASICs, specifically designed for the large-scale scaling of AI workloads.
Juniper PTX12000 Series: Utilizing two specifications, the 8-slot PTX12008 and the 12-slot PTX12012, the overall capacity can be expanded to 345.6Tbps and 518.4Tbps respectively. Within a 32RU chassis, it can support up to 648 800GbE ports and is equipped with a 1.6T-ready platform architecture, leaving ample expansion space for future bandwidth requirements.
Juniper PTX10002 Series: Offering a compact 2RU form factor with a throughput of 14.4Tbps or 28.8Tbps, it supports 100G, 400G, and 800G multi-rate port configurations, making it ideal for AI network architectures, data center edges, and metro aggregation scenarios.
The new generation of PTX platform achieves a 49% improvement in power efficiency compared to the previous generation of products, and fully supports 800GbE ZR/ZR+ coherent optical modules, significantly enhancing the secure interconnection capabilities between data centers.
Agent-based AI empowers network automation
Juniper Routing Director now supports Agentic AI, allowing enterprises to connect Routing Director with their own AI assistant (co-pilot) to perform complex operations such as real-time topology analysis, fault simulation, and configuration changes through natural language. The system can expose data categories such as real-time topology, service inventory, compliance status, and historical analysis, enabling AI systems to autonomously execute workflows such as configuration verification, path optimization, and security patch management.
Carrier-grade computing platform: ProLiant EL140 Gen12 server
In response to the needs of telecom operators, HPE has launched the ProLiant Compute EL9000 chassis and EL140 Gen12 server. This platform is equipped with Intel Xeon 6 SoC processors, featuring built-in vRAN Boost acceleration. Compared to its predecessor, it has a 20% increase in core count and a doubled front-haul network bandwidth, enabling operators to handle twice the network traffic on a single server.
Each server is equipped with 72 CPU cores and 24 available network ports, utilizing a 2U chassis design. A single chassis can accommodate up to two servers, significantly enhancing the computing density and energy efficiency of edge nodes.
In addition, Juniper Cloud Native Router is now integrated into 1U ProLiant DL110 and 2U EL140 Gen12 servers, integrating RAN and routing functions into a single device, helping operators streamline base station hardware and reduce procurement and energy costs.
HPE Cloud Ops Software: Unified Cloud Management Platform
HPE has simultaneously launched the HPE Cloud Ops Software, a unified cloud management platform that integrates virtualization and container management, monitoring and observability, AIOps, DevOps automation, and FinOps capabilities, providing a single control plane in a multi-cloud, multi-vendor environment. This platform assists enterprises in safely operating multi-tenant AI and 5G services while reducing costs.
HPEFS launched the "90/9 Preferred" financing plan
